A proposal that would place at least a one-year moratorium on new fast-food restaurants in a broad swath of neighborhoods, mostly in South Los Angeles, won unanimous support from a Los Angeles City Council committee Tuesday.
Perry (Councilwoman Jan) said she has been attempting to address the health issues associated with fast food, such as diabetes and obesity.
Apparently people in South Los Angeles are incapable of caring for themselves, or making up their own minds. At least, that's what Jan is basically implying here.
This city's "leaders" really have nothing better to do. There are far more pressing problems plaguing South Los Angeles that these "leaders" should be developing solutions for.
